Natasha chuckled and shook her head slightly. She wondered whether or not to punish the girl. She knew that was what Alberta probably would've done, but how could Natasha punish this girl for doing something which she might've done when she was her age?
"Well, I guess you're lucky that you ran into me instead of another guardian. If anybody asks, you asked me to go with you to the park and I agreed" she said, but her look then turned stern, "but don't make a habit out of this. This is pretty much a one time deal. I do have a job to keep, y'know."
Natasha then frowned slightly as she realized that she still didn't know the girl's name.
"What's your name, by the way?"

Ara breathed a slight sigh of relief as she heard she wasn't going to be punished and she nodded happily. She wiped away the last of her tears and sniffled a bit as she listened to Natasha ask for her name. Oh yea... in all the drama of her freak out because she missed her sister she had forgotten to intorduce herself. "Araceli Mariela Ricci." she said.

Natasha nodded and smiled warmly. She held out her hand for the girl to shake.
"Pleased to meet you Araceli," she said, "I would give you my name, but you already know it."
There was movement out of the corner of her eye and Natasha whipped her head around to look. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously, not liking the sudden change in the atmosphere. She turned her head away, acting as if she wasn't looking. She was focusing all of her attention in that one spot without actually turning her head or her eyes.
Natasha jumped up the instant she saw the Strigoi. She stood in front of Araceli, blocking her from the Strigoi. The Strigoi paused and Natasha could've sworn she saw disappointment on his face. He was probably disappointed that he lost his element of surprise. She didn't waste a second with taking her stake out. She glanced around quickly and was glad to see that there was no one else in this area of the park. She then settled her piercing glare on the Strigoi. The Strigoi looked at Natasha. His eyes flickered to Araceli before returning to Natasha.
"Your blood smells so-"
"Yeah, I know" Natasha said, cutting him off. The Strigoi's eyes narrowed and he glared at her.
He then lunged at her.

Ara shook Natasha's hand and smiled. She had started feeling that Natasha was very much like her sister and that Lia would have been very much like her had she still been alive. She noticed Natash looking over to the corner of her eye and Ara looked too. She yelped as Natasha jumped intront of her and she peered around her and her eyes widened and she gasped bow very glad that Natasha had showed up before the Strigoi had. She watched in horror as the Strigoi lunged at them She had noticed the stake in the Guardian's hand. She scowled and she looked around on the groung for someething she could use. She saw a sharp stick a few feet away but if she went for it, it put her out in the open. But it would give her a weapon.
She ran a few steps and she lunged for the stick and she grabbed it and clutched it as she stood again. 'Using a Stake Lesson One: How to Fend Off Strigoi.' she thought with a feirce glint in her eyes. She was hopping that Natasha was handling that Strigoi and that she woulnd't have to deal with it. She may not of known how to kill a Strigoi but she knew that a wooden stake would stop them for a few minutes but it was better than nothing. She looked around hoping that the Strigoi were alone. She knew that they could be solitary or travel in groups. A monent later she swivled around at a sound behind her. She glared at another Strigoi. 'Fantastic. Alright Ara. Just don't let him know you haven't the slightest idea how to use the stick in your hand.'
She raised the stick and the Strigoi laughed. "A Stick? Is that all they reeally gave you? They really have no faith in the Guardians these days. Or is it that you don't know how to use a real stake." Ara didn't bother responding but instead swiped at him. Of course she didn't have the speed or skill needed for the job of killing Strigoi yet so he simply grabbed it and twisted so she had to let go and snapped it in half. She scurried backwards and he advanced. "Natasha!" She cried. He lunged and she shreiked and scaled the tree before he could reach her dispite his speed.

Natasha ducked just at the right moment and managed to send her elbow into the Strigoi's gut. Hard. The Strgioi staggered back a step. He smiled at her maliciously. She lept and sent a kick into his chest. She pulled her leg back before he had a chance to grab it. She then went to send a punch into his face, but he grabbed her fist. He twistd her arm and she grimaced, trying not to yell at the pain. She knew that if he continued to twist it that way, he would break it. Luckily, he then let go of her arm. But in the blink of an eye, he twisted her around and gheld her tightly around the waist. She felt his breath on her neck. Natasha tightened her grip on her stake.
Her head whipped around when she heard Araceli call her name. If it wasn't for the fact that she was currently being held by a Strigoi, she would've sighed exasperatedly. Figured.
She swung her head back and it hit the Strigoi's head in exactly the right spot. He loosened his hold slightly and she saw her opportunity. She jammed her elbow into his gut and then managed to slip herself out of his hold. She then pounced onto him. They rolled a few times, but Natasha managed to stick her stake into his chest. The Strigoi gasped and she dug it in further. It finally came into contact with his heart and the Strigoi fell dead. Natasha pushed the body off of her, pulled the stake out, and jumped to her feet. She ran at the other Strigoi.
"Hey!" she called. The Strigoi turned around and at that exact moment Natasha stuck her stake into his heart.
"Behind you" she finished. Natasha kept a firm grip on the stake, causing it to slip out as the body of the Strigoi fell to the ground. Natasha stared at the body for a moment before looking around. Thankfully, it appeared that there weren't any other Strigoi around. She then turned her attention to the tree. She sent a brief and small glare at Araceli. The glare was more stern than angry. Natasha's chest heaved as she tried to catch her breath.
"I'll tell you one thing, kid" she said, "you got guts."
With her personal experience, she wasn't sure whether that was a compliment or not.

As soon as Ara had gotten into the tree she spared a second to glance at Natasha and groaned. She was in A Strigoi's grip. Fantastic. She turned her attention to her Strigoi as he growled because she moved and looked up at her. She glared at him and as he jumped towards her branch she held onto a side branch and kicked at him. Her foot made contact with his face and he fell to the ground and snarled at her. Her eyes narrowed. "Back off!" Sshe hissed at him. He just laughed and jumped again. She got ready to kick him but when she did her grabbed her foot. She kicked her foot and tightened her grip on the branch she was on. She used her other foot and tried to kick him off but he grabed that ankle and dug in with his nails. She pulled both of her legs up and swung then.m towardds the tree until he let go of her and then she scrambed back onto the branch and smiled hearing Natasha's voice.
'Hey!' The Strigoi turned and received a stake in the heart. 'Behind you.' Ara laughed slightly at that as Natasha looked up at her. 'I'll tell you one thing, kid, you got guts.' Ara smiled and looked at her and slid off the branch and hit the ground just as she had before but she winced and lifted her left foot so that her toes were on the ground. It was because of the Strigoi digging his nails into her ankle. He had drawn blood and now it hurt a lot, but she didn't let it stop her as she steped forward and wraped her arms around Natasha. "Thank you."

Natasha was slightly shocked when Araceli hugged her, but she hugged her back nonetheless. After a moment, though, she cleared her throat and stepped back slightly. She smiled at Araceli, but then looked down.
"You're bleeding," she stated, pointing to the young girl's ankle. Natasha bent down and lightly examined the wound. She then stood back up.
"I should probably get you back to the academy..." she said, her sentence trailing off.

Ara puled away at the same time Natasha did after she cleared her throat. Ara winced at her ankle as she turned so she could see the five marks on her leg better. "He dug his nails into my leg when i tried kicking him out of the tree..." She told her. "I think I'm okay though." She winced slightly and then huffed annoyance just before she heard Nathasha speak. 'I should probably get you back to the academy...' Ara nodded and scowled. "I am offically glad that you showed up... Otherwise I would have a lot more wounds than just a few cuts..."

Natasha nodded.
"I'm not gonna argue with you on that one" she said, smiling slightly. She looked around and her eyes soon landed on the care she had taken here. She vaguely wondered if Araceli has walked all the way to the park. But she just shrugged to herself, figuring that it wasn't too important. She turned her attention back to Araceli.
"Are you ready to go?" she questioned.

Ara nodded and smiled at Natasha. She looked at the car and took a step and winced. She huffed and closed her eyes taking the weight of of her left foot. "Alright. Thank god you have a car with you. I would hate it if I had to walk all the way back to the academy... And this isn't even that horrible of a wound... I have had worse before." She sighed and looked up at Natasha.

Natasha smirked slightly. Apparently Araceli had walked all the way to the park. Well, she was a Dhampir. Natasha doubted that a Moroi could've made that walk.
"With your recklessness? I don't doubt it" she said humorously as she made her way toward the car.

Ara wince as she continued to limp towards the car. She smiled and nodded. "I can't tell you all the trouble my siblings have gotten me out of. I'm sweet. I'm kind, I'm a daredevil, and I'm not about to stand on the sidlines while my friend's and family are in danger and in trouble. So naturally I have fallen down and scrapedmy self up pretty good. Yet some how I havn't gotten a broken bone yet." She shruged and rached the car and slid into the passanger seat.

Natasha smiled to herself as she listened to Araceli. She briefly remembered back to all of the trouble Rose had gotten her into. Of course, all of that trouble had been for the greater good.
Natasha walked to the driver's side of the car and quickly slid into the driver's seat. She put her seatbelt on and then put the key into the ignition. The car roared to life. She sent a quick glance at Araceli.
"Put your seatbelt on" she said. She then pulled out of the parking space and drove in the direction of the academy.
