Araceli held a practice stake in her hand and she was attempting to figure out how to stake a Strigoi with out any instruction. Safe to say she wasn't dooing to well. She didn't know the technique that she was suppoed to use. Maybe she would ask Natasha to help her. That was an idea. She ran at a dummy and thrust the stake into it's chest but wasn't sure if she was doing it right. She pulled it out and fell to the floor breathing hard. She had been at this for hours and was breathing heavily and sweating. She looked at her ankle and rubbed the five scabs there from the Strigoi that had dug his fingernails into her ankle when she tried to kick him out of a tree. She scolwed at her leg and stood back up. She huffed and continued to stake the dummies still convinced that she wasn't doing it right.

Jonathan walked into the gym, hoping to find Natasha there. He wanted to surprise her, though he knew that she would probably bop him over the head for that. He smiled slightly at the thought. He stopped when he saw a young girl there instead of Natasha. He watched her for a few moments. His lip twitched as she tried to correctly stake the dummy. Jonathan wasn't any expert, but from what he had seen before, it didn't appear that she was doing it right. She did appear to be close though.
"Aren't you a little young to have a practice stake?" Jonathan questioned, raising a questioing eyebrow.

She swivled around not exactly expecting anyone to come into the Gym. That and she didn't know the voice or the face. But he was a Mori. That much she knew. She smiled at his words and shruged. "Well let's see... A freshman girl at only fifteen. Yea probably." She looked at her ankle with that nasty scabs on them. "But not knowing how to use a stake is dangerous... I figured I needed to learn one way or another." She figured he would kinda get what she meant by that but she couldn't be sure about that.

Jonathan nodded, agreeing with her words. He himself didn't know how to use a stake, but he had his own weapon.
""What's your name?" he questioned. He then remembered to introduce himself. "I'm Jonathan, by the way."
His eyes then fell onto the girl's ankle. He noticed that there were a few scabs on it.
"Take a bad fall or something?" he questioned, nodding at her ankle.

Ara smiled at him and nodded. "Pleasure to meet you Jonathan. I'm Araceli Mariela Ricci." She watched as he looked at her ankle and listened to his words. 'Take a bad fall or something?' She hesitaited slightly and then shook her head."No... uh.... I kicked a Strigoi out of a tree... He didn't like that. Thank God Guardian Nataha was there though. Other wise I'd be dead... or worse...." She grimiced. The only thing worce than death. Being Strigoi. That's whas she thought. She tucked her hair behind her ears and shifted the practice stake and looked around the Gym.

Jonathan's eyebrows rose when Araceli said that she had kicked a Strigoi out of a tree. He couldn't help the wide grin that spread across his face when she mentioned Natasha.
"Would this Guardian Natasha happen to be Guardian Natasha Contrarez?" he questioned in his smooth voice. He had practically no doubt, but he wanted to be sure. "Natasha" wasn't the rarest of names.

Ara smiled slightly as he raised his eye brows when she mentioned that she had kicked a Strigoi... But it wasn't like she had much choice in the matter. Her stick had been snapped in two and when lunged at the tree was the closest way to avoid getting hit. She didn't have the training Natasha had. At Jonathan's question Ara nodded and smiled. It was pretty obvious that Ara looked up to her now. She had saved her life and she had heard things about how good a fighter she was and had seen it. "Yea it was Guardian Natasha Contrarez."

Jonathan's lip twitched as he unsuccessfully fought back a smile. He pictured Natasha's exasperation of being caught in a situation like that. Though he knew that she wouldn't have truly had it any other way.
"I figured," he said, letting some of his amusement leak into his voice, "Natasha has a way of getting herself into certain situations."

Ara smiled at his comment and his failed attempt at surpressting a smile. She replied, "Then it's a good thing that she's good as what she does." She smiled and looked at the prcatice stake in her hand. She guessed that she shpulf put it away but she wasn't sure if she was going to keep attempting to stake the dummies correctly.

"Yes," he said, smiling slightly as he thought of Natasha, "she is very good."
His affection for her was pretty obvious in his tone. He shook his head slightly, trying to focus. He watched as Araceli looked at the practice stake in her hand. A thoughtful expression came to his face as he thought about something. He mentally shrugged to himself and made his decision. What could it hurt?
"Perhaps I could give you some advice. I'm no expert, but I have watched many stakings" he offered nonchalantly.

Ara smiled noting the affection he held towards her. Hmmm... Ara wouldn't pry for answers though and she continued to stare at the stake untill her heard his voice again. 'Perhaps I could give you some advice. I'm no expert, but I have watched many stakings.'
Her head shot up and her grey eyes were wide wuth excitement as her smile grew. "Really!? I would love that!!" she said her exitement threatened to boil over. She bounced slightly unable to keep her self still and made her brown hair sway.

Jonathan couldn't help but laugh slightly at Araceli's reaction. He remembered back to his days of youthfulness. Well, he was only nineteen, so he actually still had plently of youthfulness. He had just been feeling older, if you will. He believed that it was the stress of recent events finally getting to him.
He hesitated for a moment before walking up to the dummy. He stared at it hard, as if trying to picture it as a Strigoi. But maybe he was concentrating a little too hard...
The dummy suddenly burst into flames.
"Holy-!" he said, managing to cut himself off in time. He jumped back in surprise. He then managed to regain control and make the flame disappear. He looked at the now scorched dummy, its face melted. He tilted his head to the side slightly.
"I think it's easier to imagine it as a Strigoi now" was his lame attempt at a joke.

Ara went over to a dummy with Jonathan and stood off slightly to the side between the dummy and Jonathan. She watched as he stared at it and then yelped and scurried to the side towards him as hit burst into flames. He quickly put it out and she noticed he hadn't meant that to happen, well not like that anyway. He had given it away with his nearly swearing. He quickly put it outand she chuckled softly at his statment and she went closer and circled it. "Well You definatly killed your Strigoi." She laughed. "I wouldn't complain if you were near by and a Strigoi showed up. That's for sure."

Jonathan laughed his musical laugh.
"Well, thanks kid" he said, smiling at her. He then turned his attention back to the dummy. He rubbed his chin slightly as his face became thoughtful.
"Hm, it still looks good enough. It's not really like the face does anything with the staking," he paused a moment, unsure, "I think."
He took a step back, ready to begin teaching a lesson that he wasn't sure he could teach.
"I think Natasha kind of stands like this" he said, readjusting his position. He didn't feel like mentioning that he felt like an idiot. Thank God Christian wasn't there, or else he probably wouldn't have heard the end of it.

Ara beamed at him and walked over as he took a stance he said he thought Natasha took when about to stake a Strigoi. She studied it for a moment and then nodded. "That looks like the stance she took when she staked the Strigoi after me." she sighed and shook her head. "My sharp stick plan didn't work very well...." She didn't go into detail but if he asked she would tell him what exactly happened. Mostly... She then stood infront of the dummy and took the stance Jonathan had and flipped the stake around in her and so that she could stake it. She looked at Jonathan and waited fo her next piece of instruction.
