Jonathan raised an eyebrow but didn't question her when she mentioned something about a sharp stick. He then turned his attention back to the dummy.
"So, um," he said, squinting his eyes slightly as he tried to remember, "I think she shoves the stakes right around... here."
He tapped a spot on the chest of the dummy and then pulled his hand back to his side.
"There's a lot of... stuff, protecting the heart, though" he cautioned.

She noticed him raise an eyebrow. "What?" she asked. "I didn't have a stake.... and I fiugred I had to have something... until... the Strigoi snapped it." She then nodded at his words and she stuck her tounge out slightly and thought about everything blocking the heart. The ribs came to mind first. She would have to get under them. And then she thought there were other things such as mussles. She lunged and intread of going and sticking the stake in straight like she had been before she ducked slightly and shoved it upwards. Did she make it into the heart? She didn't know, but she felt more confident that she was really close now if she didn't. She pulled it out and looked at Jonathan.

Jonathan watched as Araceli staked the dummy. He nodded to himself, figuring that she looked like she did it right. He walked up closer to the dummy. He kneeled down and looked into the hole that the stake had created. He was hoping that there would be a fake little heart or something. Sure enough, there was. He noticed a scratch on it. He stood up straight and grinned at Araceli.
"You scratched it" he said happily. He held up his hand for a high-five.

Ara smiled and laughed with delight and high-fived him. She then was tempted to give him a quick hug but resisted knowing that just because she felt like he was a good friend didn't mean she could hug him. She went over and looked at the fake heard and wished she had known that was in ther before. That would have helped her out. She got up and beamed at Jonathan. "I did it! I did it!! Thank you!! I can sorta use a stake now!!! I'm no where near a pro but it's a start." She was over joied. She did it!

Jonathan chuckled at Araceli's excitement. He looked at her, his eyes twinkling with amusement.
"And I'll tell Natasha all about it when I see her," he said, "if she doesn't kill me for surprising her like thise, that is..."
He laughed, once again picturing what Natasha's shock would be like when she finds out he's here.

Ara smiled and noddes energeticly. She was so happy. She knew that she has sooo much to work on to be able to acctually take on a Strigoi and kill it because they were so strong and fast. Well at least it was a start. She looked at Jonathan and spoke, "So now what?" she asked. She was pretty tired and she had made great progress. Hurray for Ara! She was learning to kill Strigoi!

"Uh" was Jonathan's reply to her question. He looked around, suddenly unsure of what to do. He tried to think of what Natasha would do. She would probably have Ara repeat the staking ten times more. But Jonathan didn't feel like doing that. He felt that if Ara was going to learn how to stake a Strigoi and do it well then she should learn it from a guardian.
"Now..." he began, "you tell me exactly what happened at the park and whether or not Natasha got hurt."
Jonathan was pretty confident that she hadn't gotten hurt. But if she had received so much as bruise, he would bring that Strigoi back to life and kill him himself.

Ara smiled a bit at him. Well that wouln't be hard. But she would also follow Natasha's orders, well yea.. they could be called orders, and tweak the begining abit because she didnt want to get Natasha in trouble. Not that she though Jonathan would say anything at all. She nodded and then ran off to put the practice stake away before she rushed back over to him and started her story.
"Okay so I had asked Natasha to go to the park with me because I wanted to go but I can't leave with out a guardian right? So anyway she took me and we sortta just wandered a bit and talked, pretty much mostly about the startling resemblence I noticed between her and my dead older sister. And That being a bit of a touchy subject I spilt some tears but Natasha cheered me up. A few minutes later a Strigoi showed up. I'm not one hundred percent on what happened to Natasha after he lunged because I dove for a sharp stick so I could have something to defend myself with. That was when a second one showed up. He snapped my stick and i cried out for Natasha as I scaled the tree we had been siting under. The Strigoi that i was attempting to deal with came up after and I kicked him in the face making him fall. At this point Natasha was trying to stake the first Strigoi and he had her but jer hit him before he could do anything I think. But my Steigoi came back up so i went to kick him again but he saw it and grabbed my foot. So I tried kicking him with my left foot but he dug his nails into my ankle, hence my scabs. I don't know how I did it but I slamed him against the tree a few times then he fell. Natasha had finished with her Steigoi at this point and staked the one after me. And if Natasha was hirt sje didn't show it. That or I was to busy limping to the car to notice. But she seemed to he fine." Ara told the story truthfully and nodded satisfied she had told it right and waited for Jonathan's responce.

Jonathan nodded. That sounded like Natasha. Especially the part of how she probably didn't show that she was hurt. She was the type to not show weakness. She hated it when people knew about one of her few weaknesses. She wanted to be strong for everyone, and she was. It was one of the things Jonathan loved about her.
"Well," he said, "I'm glad that she's fine. You too."
He didn't want to seem like he wasn't glad that Ara was ok, but he worried about Natasha the most. He couldn't help it. It just came natural to him.
"If I had been there," he said, smiling, "I would've burned them to a crisp."
He wasn't sure whether or not he was bragging. He probably could burn them to a crisp, but not without using a lot of energy.

Ara nodded at Johnathan and laughed at his mention of burning them to a crisp. She didn't doubt it. "Well I wouldn't have minded having you there. And i'm glad Natasha's alright as well." She smiled and brushed her auburn hair that was sticking to her face away before her head snaped up and towards the door at the sound of it opening. She beamed. "Speak of the Devil!" she said jokingly as Guardian Natasha walked in. "Hiya Natasha!" she called well aware that Natasha would be able to tell she had been attepting, and finally succeding a bit, in training just because of the sweat she was covered in.

Jonathan turned around as soon as Ara announced Natasha's arrival. He watched as she walked in. The sight of her left him breathless like usual. But it helped that he hadn't seen her for about a month. He couldn't help but smirk a little as he watched her eyes widen as she stopped dead in her tracks. Her mouth opened a couple times and Jonathan's smirk increased. He had surprised Natasha. Something very few have achieved.
"Why hello there, have we met before?" Jonathan questioned jokingly. Natasha stared at him for another moment before shaking her head.
"What the hell are you doing here?" she questioned. Jonathan smiled.
"Surprise" he said, putting his hands up in the air for a moment. Natasha stared at him for a moment more before a smile spread across her face and she shook her head in exasperation.
"I'm going to kill you" she said, the smile still on her face.

Ara smiled as she watched them and shook her head laughing. Well this was fun. She waved at Natasha and pointed at the dummy with a hole in its chest. "Look Natasha! I managed to scratched the heart! With some help of course. I had been pretty much failing im my attempts until he helped me." she said with a smile at Johnathan. "I still royally suck at it but... it's a start right?" She smiled at her and looked at the two others.

Natasha's attention was taken from Jonathan when Araceli spoke. She walked up to the dummy and knelt down. She looked through the hole in the chest and saw the little fake heart. There was a scratch on it. She stood up straight and smiled at Araceli.
"Most definitely" she said proudly. She glanced at Jonathan. "You probably did better than your teacher would've done."
"Hey," Jonathan said indignantly, "I showed her the stance and everything. Besides, I don't need to know how to stake a Strigoi, I'm not a spirit user and I can just burn them. 'Cause I'm so hot, you know."
Natasha raised an eyebrow and chose not to comment at his joke. Although she couldn't help the small smile that spread across her face. She then turned her attention to Araceli. She raised a questioning eyebrow at the girl.
"What I'm wondering is how you got your hands on a practice stake?" she said as she put her hands on her hips and gave her best "teacher look."

Ara beamed again as Natasha spoke noticing the proud tone in her voice. She really saw Natasha as her older sister now. What with the similarities between the two in appearence and after the run in with the Strigoi she really felt colse to her. She smiled at Natasha's comment about doing better than her teacher. That was most likely true. But she shruged as Natasha asked how she got a hold of practice stake. "There was a few in the Supply closet. On the top shelf. I was un aware that I wasn't supposed to use them." She smiled at Natasha.

Natasha shook her head slightly at Araceli, a small smile on her face.
"Just make sure to ask for permission next time, ok?" she questioned. She then turned thoughtful. "I should probably have them moved. God knows what some kids would do with them if they found them."
She shook her head, as if she was disappointed in today's youth. Even though, some would say that she was counted as today's youth.
Jonathan laughed. Natasha turned her attention to him.
"By the way, you and I are going to talk about your little surprise later" she said sternly. Jonathan raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"When you say talk...?" he questioned as he wiggled his eyebrows suggestively. Natasha gaped as a light blush came to her cheeks. She gave him a nice slap on the arm and he tried to act like it didn't hurt. She shook her head and muttered something under her breath that Jonathan couldn't make out.
