Brown-golden eyes closed briefly as she replayed the meeting in her head, honestly this wasn't the type of assignment she'd expected to get. She sighed softly, shifting her feet slightly, as she leaned against the wall, struggling to get her body to relax, but with all these Damphir's and Mori in the same building as her, she'd be lucky if she could crack a smile to her as the Headmaster put it guide, it was a nice way of saying babysitter. Mori didn't like the Alchemists and they didn't like them, yet here she was in this Mori and Damphir school, surrounded with the evil creatures of the Night. They were just like the Strigoi it was only a matter of time before they turned into them and started slaughtering them all, she was sure of it.
She looked at her duffel bag that was at her feet it was white with the alchemist's crest on it. She assumed it was white because white was supposed to a pure color yet their were plenty of things that were white and not considered pure at all. She kept her face as emotionless as she could manage, as her lips held firmly in their straight line, as her arms crossed tightly at her chest, a very defensive stance if you could catch her body language.
She shifted slightly as she heard the sound of someone using one of those electric staplers...the snap hadn't been something she'd been expecting, and her body had twitched, hitting the wall slightly, her hands tightening on her arms, as her light brown eyes gazed at the woman Mori who was currently filing things away before looking at the staple with a glare that spoke volumes of how she wished the inanimate object got thrown in acid and was never seen again.
'I hope my babysitter gets here soon' she thought to herself as she stilled her racing heart, a little nervous the Mori secretary would lose her control and drink her blood, either killing her or turning herself into a Strigoi...at that thought she shuddered and took what was supposed to be a calming breath but it wasn't, as put together as she tried to appear it was clear she was anything but put together today, despite her fancy clothes she wore to look sophisticated.

A slight part of her couldn't believe it. She had been appointed to babysitting duty. What the hell was that about? She was the head guardian. She didn't have time to babysit some human.
But then she reminded herself that she wasn't the type of person to overreact like this. She also reminded herself that this was important and that she should do her civil duty as an employee of this school.
God, she sounded like such an after school special. She shook her head slightly, trying to clear her mind of those thoughts. Her mind seemed to be all over the place today and she didn't know why. It must've just been one of those days.
She walked into the office and looked around. Her eyes landed on a girl who was obviously not a Moroi, and also not a Dhampir. She walked up to her, smiling friendly at the girl.
"Hello, I'm Natasha Contrarez. You must be the Alchemist I was told about" she said politely as she offered her hand for the girl to shake. Se doubted she would, though. After all, Natasha was an evil creature of the night.

Her eyes looked up startled to see the girl looked so young, was she really the head guardian, clearly this was so kind of mix up this girl, was just some replacement sent in place of the of the old man, who didn't want to do it. She had no idea the man had died, or was even dead. Her eyes traveled over to her, trying to mask her surprise, but it wasn't quite working out that well. 'There is no way, this girl is the Head Guardian, that old man just didn't want to play babysitter so he got someone else too do it' she thought to herself. Her eyes widened slightly as the girl spoke to her and was so polite, her eyes landed on her hand, surprised she'd want to even taint her hands touching her. She was an evil creature of the night, they couldn't possible be nice, they were supposed to be evil weren't they? She squared her shoulders and raised her slightly shaking hand to grasp the girls in a hand shake. She could do this, touch them, it was ok...she wouldn't show any fear, she had to be strong she had to set an example and show her fellow Alchemists she wasn't scared. Her fingers wrapped around the girls, her fingers shaking and her hand embarrassingly a little sweaty. Her cheeks flamed pink but she didn't break eye contact, it was incredibly rude to do so and it was a sign of weakness. If she showed any of it, their was no guarantee she'd survive these next few months. "It's nice to meet you, my names Adalyn Trinity...I'm the Alchemist who will be explaining to the younger Mori and Damphir's about our organization" she explained not even sure if that was what she would be doing, she wasn't sure why they'd sent her here. She wasn't qualified to teach anyone anything! She'd just gotten her lily tattoo two damn weeks ago! And this was her FIRST assignment it was like they were asking her to fail! She pulled her hand away once the hand shake was over and wiped it on her jeans to get the sweat off it. She couldn't believe how nervous she was, wow she sure was making quite the negative first impression. She wasn't appearing like the strong, put together Alchemist her boss wanted, no she was more like the nervous, little school girl who just got transfered here and didn't know anybody! She took a small breath and tried to remind herself to breath, she could get used to this...or at least she would succeed she had too...this was her job.

Natasha's eyes caught the girl's every movement. The girl's body language gave away how nervous she was and Natasha couldn't help but grin at the young girl. She noticed the blush on the girl's face, and how sweaty her palm was when she shook her hand. She watched as the girl wiped her hand against her pants. Whether it was to wipe off the sweat, or the evil-creature-of-the-night-germs, Natasha didn't. know.
"I'm Natasha Contrarez, head guardian of the school" she introduced herself. She knew the girl, Adalyn, didn't think that she was the head guardian. No one ever did.
"I'm your tour guide for the day" she joked lightly, hoping to crack through this girl's shell a little. She vaguely wondered if this Alchemist knew Sydney.

Adalyn managed to keep her eyes from widening but just barely. She gazed at the woman, giving her a once over, she could see her potential, but could this girl possible be good enough to be the Head Guardian? Natasha was only a year or two older then her at the very least. She looked at her wondering what had happened the previous head guardian Mr. Davinich she'd been told nothing about a change in leadership for something like this. She frowned slightly and went over mentally her orders from Headquarters. She was supposed to meet with Mr. Davinich , it was said that specifically, going against protocol like this wouldn't look good on her record, if something had happened it would seem it was recent enough that they Guardians had yet to notify the Alchemists so they could update their records.
"Has something happened to Mr. Davinich ?" she questioned before giving a somewhat brief description of her orders. "I was told to meet with him specifically he and your Headmaster are the ones who authorized this program, has their been a reason for this sudden change in Head Guardians?" she asked needing to at least have something to give to her boss, when she called him with an update as soon as she was settled in, or she could always email him; so long as she managed to have Internet access.
Her eyes drifted around taking notice of her surroundings as best that she could. She wasn't guardian material by any means but she knew it was best to be as aware as you possible could, especially in areas you weren't familiar with and she was by no means ever going to be familiar with this place...at least that was what she had hoped. She did watch the girls body language though you could tell a lot about a person by not only the way they held themselves, but also the way they talked. It was also a good way to find out if someone was lying to you, or giving half truths. She was so good at reading people that a lot of her close friends had lied to her about big and small things so many times she just stopped hanging around them, she was more a loner then anything else. All she wanted was so friends who didn't feel the needs to lie to her all the time, it was probably one of the reasons she was so apprehensive about meeting new people, how could you trust anyone these days? Even her own parents lied to her and her boss, could no one be upfront about anything? Was being honest and loyal just too much to ask for? It seemed it was.

As soon as Adalyn had mentioned Guardian Davinich's name, Natasha noticed the few people in the room with them stiffen slightly. Natasha managed to keep her face emotionless, but she did stiffen, not quite as much as everyone else, however. Her eyes glanced around the room, making sure there were no students around. Luckily, there wasn't. She cleared her throat slightly.
"He was killed. On school grounds," she told the girl. Her tone was emotionless, business like. She knew that all she had to say was that he was killed on school grounds to let Adalyn know that it wasn't a Strigoi that killed him. She gave the girl a slight warning look as she said her next words. "That is confidential information, of course, and is not to be shared with any of the students."
The last thing they needed was an all out panic. Now that would make Natasha's job a lot harder than it already was. In an effort to change the now tense atmosphere of the room, Natasha gave the girl another polite smile.
"Do you have any other questions before I give you the tour?" she questioned politely. She would answer any questions Adalyn asked. Well, at least she planned on it. She currently couldn't think of anything the girl could ask that Natasha couldn't tell her.

Adalyn gazed at the older woman. Her eyes widening slightly and she tensed up taking a small step back, her fingers grazing the weapon that was hidden in the back of her jeans. She felt her heart pounding quickly though her system. As her golden brown eyes caught sight of the other people in the room tense up. She felt insecure as if she was going to get jumped or something. She could tell it was an uncomfortable topic but it didn't make it anyless nerve racking. She clenched her hands into fists and stood her ground they would know better then to attack an Alchemist but it didn't stop some other shooting her dirty looks.
She knew now more then ever that she would need to be careful around this place and she needed to get ahold of her boss and let him know what was going on maybe he'd let her go home and have a different assignment. 'Yeah fat chance Addy, there is no way he'll let out of this assignment and you know it. He doesn't even like you! You're expendable to them. They have your younger brother he's the true heir and the one they really want' she closed her eyes stopping her thoughts and slowly uncurling her fingers as she flexed them trying to act casual.
She let her eyes go back to Natasha as she acted the part of the good tour guide and baby sitter all rolled up into one. She knew she'd never fit in here nor would she make any friends she could actually trust...trust was something that seemed so far out of reach, she couldn't even trust the people in her division as everyone wanted to move up and out rank anyone else that they could. How sad was it when she couldn't even trust her own parents. Their life was debicated to the Alchemists, never to anything else. Her parents married out if convinance not love and that logical need to find someone to carry on the family secret. They wanted a son, a strong son not a weak daughter and now they had him.
Her eyes squeezed shut for a moment as she hid her emotions. She forced her mind from her personal issues to the task at hand. "Yes do you have Internet access, or cell phone respetion or are the only active lines out of here the school's phone system?" she questioned hearing her voice with her own ears it even sounded off to her, slightly more monotoned then she normally was. She blamed that on the fact that she didn't know anyone and was nervous...but she knew their was more to it then that. "Not a problem the students won't hear anything from me" she said with a shrug of her shoulders; she could careless about the inner workings of this school.

Natasha smiled at her, pretending as if she didn't notice the girl's small freak out. She nodded.
"Yes, we have internet, cell phone reception and all that good stuff" she said lightly. Her eyes darted around. The atmosphere was still tense, and Natasha wanted out of there. She took a step towards the door.
"Shall we begin?" she questioned politely. She glanced around once again, but this time her eyes purposely met those of the other people in the room. Her eyes were telling them to calm down. She didn't want them to scare away the young Alchemist. Natasha had faith in the new program and she didn't want it to fail.

Adalyn took a step forward more then happy get out of this office. If she really had too run away she'd have a much better chance of getting away if she was outside. Her chances were next to none but she'd go down fighting if it ever came to that. She took a breath doing her best to look casual. "Lead the way" she said as she followed her outside. Taking a swift glance around unlike the Guardians and Mori that had the luxury of being able to fight and be defended she knew without a doubt she was on her own here. The creatures of the night looked out for each other, no outsider wouldn't be protected she was on her own just like in school and in her own life after her brother was born.
"Do you like it here?" she found herself asking after they had walked a few minutes in silence. She had met the eyes of a lot of the Mori and Damphir's who had looked at her curiously. No one would come near her, but a lot of them waved or shouted hello's to Natasha. She seemed to well liked and Addy found herself needing to stomp down the green monster of envy. She frowned slightly irritated with herself for being jealous of close bonds these Mori and Damphir's shared with each other. "You'll never be that close to anyone Addy...look at yourself, you shove everyone away when all you want is the love you've never gotten...your own parents didn't even want you and they never will not with your brother Grayson being everything they wanted" she closed her eyes tightly and briefly pushed her fingers into her eyes to stop the moisture she felt building behind her lids. She took a soft breath knowing if she made a sound it was easily heard by the sensitive ears of those around her. "Pull yourself together no one can see you cry ever you don't have that luxury!" she found herself mentally screaming at herself as her fingers dug briefly into her arms as she used the physical pain to block out her emotional.
She was walking behind Natasha close enough to follow her not enough to touch her. "How long many Strigoi have you killed" she asked out of curiosity and the need to keep this Guardian from asking any questions about her. Her life was of no importance and it wasn't like she would share anything to anyone.

"Do you like it here?" That question was more difficult to answer than it should've been. Natasha's eyes glanced around as they walked. She noticed the "Hello's" that were cast her way, most of them not completely genuine. The "Hey Beautiful's" and cat whistles were mocking. But she didn't blame Adalyn if she didn't notice. The kids were good at hiding the underlying messages beneath their words, but Natasha was a pro at decoding them. She continued to walk, her face emotionless as she ignored the arrogant teenagers.
"I guess. It has it's ups and downs, just like any place" she said, shrugging. She remained silent as she sensed Adalyn go into her own little world, probably wondering about how she could get out of this. Natasha did feel pretty bad for the girl. She had been told that this was Adalyn's first mission. Either her boss had a lot of faith in her, or he wanted her out of the way quickly. Natasha hoped for the girl that it was the first.
"How many Strigoi have you killed?"
Natasha chuckled quietly at this question. Her hand absentmindedly went up and scratched the back of her neck. Her hair was currently down. Typically the only times she wore it up were when she was either training or in an area that didn't have any wards.
"In all honesty, I've lost count" she said, smiling slightly as she glanced behind her at Adalyn.

Adalyn turned her gaze to Natasha as she arched a brow at some of things she was hearing. She picked up the pace tapping the taller girl on the shoulder as her fingers found their way into the material on her arm. Her fingers gently tugging to get to stop walking and bend a little closer to her. "How can you lose count?" she questioned loud enough to keep a normal conversation but their was something else she wanted to ask, something she knew if she said it low enough no one would be able to hear it.
Her training coming back to her. She'd been taught how to speak low enough where she wouldn't be heard by even someone with very good hearing. She sighed softly, her gold-brown eyes sending a glare in the direction of a few of the students. Why did she let them get away with that? She needed to get their respect or set them in their place the only way she was going to do that was to either show them she wasn't a push over or to earn their respect, all the Molinja marks in the world wouldn't mean anything if you're comrades didn't respect you and were loyal to you.

Natasha stopped walking and turned around to face the girl as she tapped her on the shoulder. She shrugged in reply to Adalyn's question.
"When you're in a battle with Strigoi defending your school, you tend to not bother keeping count" she told her, smiling slightly.
Natasha's attention was caught by a boy who was being extra annoying. She sent him a glare, the icy color of her eyes helping to add to the effect. The smile left the boy's face and he quickly walked away. Natasha sighed slightly before returning her attention back to Adalyn. She raised an eyebrow slightly, sensing that the girl had something else she wanted to ask.
"Yes? Is there something else you were wondering about?" she questioned politely as she smiled in a friendly manner.

Adalyn bit her lip wondering why the hell she was even going to give this girl any advice, why did she care if she was treated badly? Was it because no matter what you should treat your superiors with respect? She really couldn't be sure. She leaned a little closer, stepping up on her tip toes as she took a small breath through her nose before she spoke, gathering her voice low enough on a level only Natasha would be able to hear. "Why do you let them get away with that? You are their Superior officer, no matter your age you should have their respect" she said her lips close to her ear, but she was far enough away where she wouldn't touch her just so long as she didn't move or get shoved. She wasn't sure if she might com-bust into flames right on the spot, but she dismissed that thought as she'd shook her hand earlier and been fine.
"If you don't stand up for yourself how will they take you seriously? No one will listen to you in an emergency, you either stand up for yourself or show them who is boss that is your right" she told her leaning back as she stared up at the girl slowly lowering her feet to the ground, her boots clicking against the stones under her feet. She took a small breath, and held her breath waiting to see if this girl would reprimand her for speaking so openly with her. Her father did, he hated when she tried to give him advice even when she was right and he knew it. She was usually always right, her ability to gaze at things from all sides was enough for her to really give good, solid advice.

Natasha was slightly irritated that a human was basically telling her how to do her job. This girl was not her, and would probably never understand what it was like to do her job. Natasha took a deep breath, telling herself to calm down. She blamed her irrational anger on the stress she had been going through lately.
"I have better things to do than put a couple arrogant teenagers in their place. Say, like, solving a murder, defending this school, earning the respect of my colleagues first, and now escorting an Alchemist to her room" she replied, her voice business-like and as low as Adalyn's. Her eyes glanced around just in case and she was glad to see that there were only two students nearby and they were most definitely out of hearing range. She sighed quietly and ran a hand through her hair.

Light brown eyes took her in and then to the surrounding area. Her eyes taking in the number of people actually here. She knew if anything went down she was on her own here and she wasn't making any friends. She straightened her back and calmly stepped back, her lips twisting up in a slight smirk, a sort of arrogant facade her father hated, that look always pissed him off and she had no doubt it would bother this girl as well. Just another face for another person.
She stepped around her it didn't matter if this girl was taller then her or stronger; she wouldn't go down without a fight. "Show me to my sleeping quarters. Then by all means get out" she told her her words easily more vicious then she intended but it would get her point across, if she acted tough none of these other creatures would bother her. They would hopefully leave her alone and she get her damn assignment over and be on with her life if she were only so lucky she knew that wouldn't be the case. Her boss had other reasons beside the New Program she was collateral damage for what was to come. Her boss was simply removing her from play before she could do any damage. He'd use her until she was of no more use, that why he gave her the most dangerous assignment that seemed easy enough to the eye but their was so much more involved with this then she even dared to think about.
