Natasha raised an eyebrow at the human. Well, wasn't this a change. Maybe the chick was bipolar. Natasha took a step towards the girl, her eyes narrowing.
"Why don't you you run that by me again, hm?" she questioned, her tone warning as she put her hands on her hips. She could deal with being disrespected by the students. Hell, she could even deal with being disrespected by her colleagues. But she refused to be disrespected by some human who barely knew her and was new to the job of being an Alchemist. Don't get her wrong, Natash held a great respect for the Alchemists and the job they did, despite the fact that Natasha's job was indeed more difficult. But this girl was a newbie, so Natasha had every right to not want to take any crap from her.

Golden eyes widened ever so slightly, her hands balled up into fists nails digging into her palm as she looked about ready to one of two things bolt or fight. It looked like she was complimenting the flight or fight response. She held her ground for all of five seconds before her body dropped in on itself, her shoulders hunched inward and she stepped back eyes on her fancy shoes they had wanted her to wear. Her golden lily tattoo caught the rays of the sun and hit the ground in splashes of gold, shiny light.
She was lashing out at her lack of control, it was human response and the first emotion children could atone with; that emotion was anger, it was why kids had temper tantrums when things didn't go their way, as they have so little control as it is. While her life was on constant inspection by her family, her job, each looking for the flaws they wanted to see her possess. They just like the few people she wanted to be close too, she wanted the connection that she saw in the Guardian's and the Mori, their was that friendship, that desire to protect, that desire to help. Humans lacked that desire to protect unless it was implied to their children and even then not their significant other that only counted if they loved them. It was such a small window really their was no room for her there, just like she knew the only reason she had this job was because they wanted her to wind up as dead as the Head Guardian they'd so conveniently forgotten to tell her had died and been murdered no less.
She took a breath and gathered herself getting ready to swallow what little pride she possessed, that was actually really hers and not that facade she put up because it was what every Alchemist was supposed to have, even if you really didn't.
Addy would apologize to Guardian Contrarez. She took another step back at least what she hoped was out of striking range but even she knew that wasn't the case. "I'm sorry Guardian Contrarez, the way you run your people is none of my business, it seems you have different standards then we humans do, you are more lenient with the conduct of younger ranks with your higher officers" she said going to for a dignified apology and as those words left her mouth she flushed and muttered under her breath. "Jeez can't even apologize with out screwing up, nice Addy" were the words whispered and she took another step back, arms tense ready to try and protect herself if she tried to strike at her.
She sucked in a breath, feeling her chest tighten with emotion, as frustration swelled in her chest and started to form a lump in her throat. Her fingers clutched at a gem around her neck as she let her fingers travel giving them a bit more leeway. "Uh what I mean is jeez just forget it..." she said with a rush of hot air as she blew out a violent breath of air full of frustration directed at herself, one hand running down her face. "I'm sorry OK? Just isn't a good day" she muttered wanting nothing more then to curl up in her bed, no any bed would do at this point and never come out again.
She forced her arms to relax and stay at her sides as she looked at the ground simply waiting for what would happen next, waiting for something from Guardian Contrarez wether it be words or her fist she wasn't sure, but either was more the called for with her actions today.

Natasha watched as the girl visibly calmed down. She resisted the temptation to smile when the girl wisely took a few steps back, and just kept her guardian mask on.
"I'm sorry Guardian Contrarez, the way you run your people is none of my business, it seems you have different standards then we humans do, you are more lenient with the conduct of younger ranks with your higher officers"
Natash cocked an eyebrow. That was most definitely not the best apology she had ever heard. She was about to retort and point out that that was more of an insult than an apology, but luckily the girl continued to talk.
She watched as the girl stumbled with her words. The fact that the Alchemist was having an off day was pretty obvious to Natasha. She didn't really blame the girl, knowing slightly how it felt to be suddenly launched into a new world without any preparation what-so-ever. Natasha allowed her face to soften slightly, but she still kept it mostly emotionless.
"It's alright," she said eventually, "I understand. Just try to keep your cool from now on. These people will eat you alive without a second thought."
