Celia put her long hair into a ponytail as she walked up towards the dummy. She put her hands on her hips, as if sizing it up. She was currently in a white tank top and some black shorts. It was her usual attire for whenever she did this. This being getting some practice in after school before she retreated to her dorm to study. Since it was right after classes were over, everybody was too busy chatting with each other to come to the gym. So it was a perfect time for her to practice.
She shook her head slightly before going into a fighting stance, as if she was going up against an actual person. She then started attacking the dummy. She would kick it, punch it, and continue the cycle.
After a while of doing nothing but just that, she drew back a step and wiped the small amount of sweat off her forehead. She looked around for a water bottle, until she remembered that she hadn't brought one. She sighed.

Guardian Severian had come in during the other girls practice. He was rather surprised to find anyone here at all. It seemed most students meaning most of the Damphir's had practiced only in their fighting classes. It was why it seemed this batch of them didn't seem up to par and that would have to change, he'd need to make a few suggestions to not only the fighting instructor by Natasha and a few of the other guardians, if it was possible they would need to start up training sessions, perhaps a few in a novices in one and a guardian. He wasn't sure if it would hold any ground, but something needed to be done or these young kids would find themselves in the afterlife.
He looked up watching the brunette's moves as she went through the motions of her work out. It seemed she had some potential but her form was a little off, she was pulling her punches a bit and when you did that it would give you less power and with a strigoi you needed all the power you could muster. He slowly uncrossed his arms and tossed her his water bottle when she'd finished her short cycle. He did this to see if she was aware of her surroundings and to test her reflexes.
Zeo was dressed in just a pair of sweats and nothing else. He usually didn't have to worry about anyone disturbing his training session. This left his tattoo's open for view not that he had any problem with his tattoo's at all. He was quite fond of them. "You're pulling your punches, if you break that habit you'll have more power behind them and you're stamina needs some work, but overall you're are doing well enough" he said bluntly to her. He didn't even know who she was and chances are she might know him, he was a pretty exciting topic at the moment, the new guardian with red eyes.

"Shit!" she yelped as a water bottle was suddenly flung at her out of nowhere. She caught it nonetheless. She twisted the cap off and took a swig as she looked at the person who had thrown it to her. A guardian. Oops. She blushed, having cussed in front of a staff member. Her eyes sweeped over him as he talked. He was hot, and well built, which was a no duh with him being a guardian and all. her blush deepedned when she realized she was checking him out.
She nodded when he was done giving her his advice.
"Uh, thanks" she said. She scratched the back of her neck and glanced around before returning her attention to him. She flinched slightly when she finally noticed his red eyes, but she quickly reminded herself that he was a guardian, and not a Strigoi.
"So, you must be the new guardian I've heard oh so much about" she said nonchalantly before taking a sip from the water bottle.
"I'm Celia" she said, holding out her hand for him to shake. Unlike a lot of people her age, her mother had taught her how to have manners and to be polite to her superiors.

A smirk traveled up his lips at hearing her cuss, and it only widened more at the blush that ran up her cheeks. He supposed other people Guardians or Mori specifically might take offense to bad language by he could careless about it. He chuckled slightly to himself before he turned his attention back to her. For being as out of breath as she was, he was pleased to see her reflexes were still good.
"My name is Zeo Griffin Severian, you can call me Zeo or Griffin I'll answer to either one" he said with a small smile as he took her hand in his giving her a firm shake, before he dropped her hand. "It would seem to be well assumed that yes, I'm the new guardian" he said with a shrug of his shoulders his muscles rippling slightly with the antics as he gave her a once over. "What rank are you in your class combat class?" he asked her, just ratting off one of the classes he'd had to take when he'd been at one of the other Academy's.

Celia thought about his question. She wasn't exactly sure what rank she was, but she had a guess.
"Uh, I think I'm second or something" she told him, shrugging. She was acting like it wasn't a big deal. if she were to show how big of a deal it was to her, she would end up ranting about how she wanted to be number one. Needed to be number one. If she wasn't perfect, there was no other way for her to take down the Strigoi who had killed her mother.
She noticed how he had given her his full name, but she had only given him her first. For she didn't enjoy telling people her new last name. She didn't enjoy the shock people often had at a Dhampir having a royal last name. Not like she had much choice in the matter anyway. Besides, all he had to do was look at her file to find out her last name.
"Hey, why are there so many new guardians?" she questioned, frowning as the thought came to her. Ok, so well wasn't that many new guardians. About two as far as she knew. And one had been sent to replace Guardian Davinich. But still, they could've just promoted a guardian that was already here. Why'd they have to hire a new one?

Guardian Severian looked her dead in the eyes. As she asked him about why there were the sudden increase in Guardians. As far as be knew it was just himself and Guardian Natasha. He decided to tell her why he was here. "Their have only been two additions to the school myself and Guardian Contrarez. Natasha has taken over as Head Guardian while your current instructor is stepping down and I'm taking over as your Combat Instructor" he said arms slowly crossing over his bare chest as he shifted his steps and toed off his flip-flops as took a few steps away from her toward the dummy before turning to face her.
Zeo gazed at the young woman in front of him his red eyes accessing her. As he looked once more at her then at the dummy she had been practicing on. "Do you want some real compition?" as he spread his right foot back slightly and leaned into his right leg as he held up his arms, his fingers curling toward him in a 'Come get me' gesture.

Celia opened her mouth to debate her point about how they could've just promoted a guardian that was already here, but she snapped it shut at his next words. She looked around slightly, as if she possibly thought it was a joke. But she was just using the movement as an excuse to get her thoughts together. Did she really want to fight this fully trained guardian and risk getting her ass kicked? She eventually just shrugged to herself. What could it hurt? She was probably going to get her ass kicked a lot in the real world once she's graduated. So why not get used to it?
"Uh, sure" she said, shrugging as if it wasn't a big deal. She took another swig of the water bottle before setting it down. She also got into a position, before raising an eyebrow at him. She wasn't going to attack first. Guardian Davinich had once told her that it wasn't good to attack first, not when your enemy was expecting an attack. She knew people had a different opinion on the subject, but she had no other experience to go off of. So she had naturally agreed with Guardian Davinich.

Griffin grinned pleased to see that she hadn't taken the first step or let her want to prove herself tip her hand and come at him first. "Sometimes it's good to wait for your opponent to make the first move, but other times surprise is key especially with a Strigoi, if they can surprise you, catch you off guard most of the time you won't have a chance" he explained as he kept his eyes trained on her, his posture relaxing slightly as he took a small step forward before he moved to the right and then to the left, his legs taking him closer to her as he continued his graceful movements. As he moved with a speed that was hard to match without the proper training and endurance.
As he drew close enough to attack he side stepped going to the left, and then once more taking another small step to the left as he brought his left fist swinging for the middle of her back. His red eyes calculating as he accessed her once he was close enough to attack, he wasn't using his full force but it was enough that it would bruise but if they weren't serious who would she ever learn anything? He couldn't let her or anyone else assume they were doing things right when all they were doing was messing up and their form wasn't correct. Thinking like that would only get them killed, they were far too young to meet the Grim Reaper.

Whe Zeo grinned at her, Celia's lip twitched as she fought the urge to grin back. She had to show him that she was serious about this, not like some of the others who seemed to think life was just some fun game. Oh, life was a game alright, but it wasn't fun.
She watched as he moved closer. He was fast, which only confirmed her thoughts that he was indeed a fully trained guardian. It also confirmed her idea that she was going to most likely get her ass kicked. Her eyes watched him, trying to keep up. When his fist went towards the middle of her back, she ducked down low, barely avoiding the hit. Her leg went out, hoping to kick his legs out from under him. She knew it wouldn't be that easy, however. Nothing ever was. But that wasn't going to stop her. Not ever.

Zeo saw her drop down, it was swift yet but a really bad move, dropping down like that when the attack was aimed at her your back left you vulnerable to that same attack now hitting you in the neck or the back of the head, it was not a wise choice at all. He'd let her know where she screwed up when this was over and if she did anything well at the end of the little sparing session he'd let her know that, but right now in the first few minutes all he could see was her faults.
Her move for going after his leg was a good move a little risky and their was the possibility it wouldn't work on a Strigoi, but she'd done well. He had time to think as her speed wasn't as developed as it should be. His left hand snaked out his fingers hoping to grasp her wrist and twist it enough to hurt and the wrong way; a way it wasn't meant to go as he let her attack strike him in the legs and knock his feet out from under him so he'd go down, as he went down he was hoping to bring her with him pull her with enough force she'd go down and flip them over in the midst of the fall to have her take the blunt of the attack but his right hand would cradle the back of her head, his forearm cradling her neck to avoid hurting her too badly.
He noticed as he fell that his legs stung it would seem she had some power behind her attacks which was good a nice change, she'd need to get stronger but so far he could see her potential with more proper training. He would teach these kids what they needed to know, he wouldn't allow them to half-ass anything anymore. He had no doubt their teacher was good, all Guardian's were, but they weren't practicing on their own they were going to class and that was the end of it, but that would end, none of that just practicing in class was going to cut it with him.

Her jaw clenched as he grabbed her wrist and twisted it. Yeah, it hurt, but she wasn't going to make a sound. But she did yelp and let out a choice word when he brought her down with him. Her breath left her in a whoosh as she hit the ground. But she reacted instantly, going to knee him in the gut and flip him over.
((.... not the best, but netter than nothing I guess :/ ))

Guardian Severtian kept his face impassive to the smirk that wanted to curve along his lips as he stared down at her a moment. He brought his own knee up to counter act hers as she went to knee him in the stomach. He remembered to breath, he couldn't let himself get distracted nor could he allow himself to get too caught up where he forgot to breath and keep his breaths as even as he could. He dropped down, pressing his rock hard body against hers in an effort to still her movements and use his superior weight to keep her from rolling them over and getting the upper hand. His breath was heavy and hot against her neck, as he kept his face be her neck away from her so she couldn't smash her forehead against his nose or anything like that. It really was as painful as it looked when that happened to someone. "Good now, try to get out, you only have so much time before they either turn you or kill you" he told her.

Well shit, she sucked more than she thought. Her mind went a mile an hour as soon as he blocked her leg, trying to come up with what to do next.
"This would be a lot easier if I had a freakin' stake or something" she commented, trying to work through the hazy fog that had suddenly entered her mind. She told herself to focus. She wriggled her arm and managed to get it free of his grasp. She didn't have time to do a short happy dance in her mind as she went to hit him in the side of the head.

"You won't always be so lucky, you'll have to rely on what's around you. What you can get your hands on" he told her, as his red eyes glowed as he looked down at her before he saw the punch coming for the side of his head. He rolled away from her abruptly letting her go. He could of taken the hit no problem but he wasn't fond of a headache. He had to be on duty in the next couple of hours. He laughed as he rose from his crouch to his full height. He looked down at her still on the floor of the gym. "Are you going to let me walk away? Is that all you've got?" he questioned hoping to spike some sort of responce, a rise out of her.

Celia grumbled to herself as she sat up. She gave the guardian a hefty glare. She was beginning to become thoroughly annoyed. Which was probably just what he wanted. Ugh. Men. She opened her mouth slightly, wanting to make some snarky retort, but none came. She snapped her mouth shut and blushed. Her eyes glanced at the clock.
"Um, I have to, uh, meet someone" she lied, hoping to save herself from more humiliation. She stood up and mentally smacked herself on the forehead when she realized that she didn't sound believable at all. Another thing to add to her many faults: sucks at lying.
