A young Damphir student walked through the halls silently. Only because she didn't have any one to talk to at that particular moment in time. As she continued down the halls her grey eyes scaned ahead and caught sight of other students, Mori and Damphir alike, pointing at her and whispering. Her long brown hair was down like normal falling to just an inch or two... Maybe three inches, away from reaching her waist. Ita was sleek and natually straight but it led to more whispers. She acred like she couldn't hear but she listened in and caught some of the whispers as she passed.
'Oh look!! It's her! The girl that took of the Strigoi!' 'Ohh wasn't there three of them?' 'Yea! And she killed all three.' 'Whoa!!! I bet she's hidding her Moljina Marks under her hair!' 'I think so. Man I can't belive she tricked them into thinking she was defencless and then ambushed them. I heard Guardian Contrarez was supposed to help but they had all been taken out just before she got there.'
Ara smiled when she walked out of hearing range. Dante hadn't been kidding. Wow everyone knew her... She walkes into the courtuard a few moments later and she plopped down in a grassy corrner of it. She smiled. It was starnge to be talked about but it was kinda nice in this form.... Even if none of it was true.

Zeo looked over at the girl who'd walked out into the courtyard. He'd been leaning against one of the brick pillars and knew her name, and grade but that was roughly it. He had asked for a list of the student files and from there was able to get a brief over view of the things he wanted with all the students now all he needed to do was put names to the faces. It wasn't like the Damphir's and Mori numbers were all that large, especially with the recent happenings and the last strigoi attack a couple of years back. Most Mori had now pulled their children out of their public or private school much like this one and had enrolled them either in home school programs or at Court, which had recent created a building, that wasn't really like a school, but it held a few classes only about two or three, but it was enough to give the Mori mostly the Royal kids a place to learn and socialize.
So that girl was Araceli Ricci the freshman that had supposedly taken down three strigoi all on her own. He rolled his eyes at that, there was just no way she'd been able to do that. He also knew the truth Guardian Contrarez had happened to be the one who saved her. With the recent numbers in Strigoi rising, and the sudden escapades of them working together it would seem he'd been called in as more protection to those that stayed behind these wards. The major problem with these wards was that humans could break them, and cause an opening for the Strigoi to get in. It was one of the few reasons he detested humans, such weak creatures and their want for power and money was greed all of them had.
He uncrossed his arms and moved to leave the courtyard, as he drifted from the girls view, did he change his stance, his foot steps making no sound as he didn't breath, until he behind the girl and that when his words spoke for him. "There is no way you staked three Strigoi, you care barely stake the dummy when you had lessons from Jonathan Ozera, the man is adamant in his skill as a fire wielder but he isn't someone to get lessons on staking from. Do you really want to stay at the level you are or do you want to excel?" he questioned his body sliding into a relaxed stance, but he was ready if the girl freaked out and thought he was a strigoi or something, apparently the red eyes just didn't help him much there, but his tan skin was quick to show everyone he wasn't a strigoi.

Ara jumped slightly at the sound of a voice behind her and she swiveled around looking ip at the man now in front of her. Her grey eyes met red one ans she froze for a second or to thankful for the fact that he was tan. She shruged at the damphir and opened her mouth to speak. "Well, I'd offer up my name but it's obvious you alreasy know who I am. And okay so yea I didn't take out three Strigoi. There were onyu two and Guardian Contrarez took both of them out and I barely managed to keep one away from me. Not like I would start rumors like that. I'd rather not attract the attention. Also... How did you know who gave me my first stake using lesson? I mean granted Mori aren't exactly using a stake matirial... But all I needes was the basics at first and I managed. I had no intentions of stopping there because yes. I do want to excel. What novice doesn't? I don't know one that doesn't want to. And I won't turn down help if that's what you are offering."
She smiled up at the, she assumed, guardian. Who was this guy? He cut to the chase pretty quickly though. Just walking silently up to her and telling her he knew she hadn't done everything the rumors going around said she did. Not that she needed to be told that. She was there she knew she didn't to anything other than fail at an attempt to stake a Strigoi with a stick, climb a tree, kick the Strigoi in the face and get five nasty wounds caused by the Strigoi's nails on her left ankle. Speaking of which she should take a look at those... It had been four days now and she had hirt herself yeasterday. Not badly but still.

Guardian Severian looked at the girl, smile slowly growing along his lips. She seemed adamant enough to want to learn and perhaps he'd managed to find someone with the want to get better, to actually get stronger and with the will power to push through what he would force her to endure. Maybe she'd be the one to reach his level.
"I'm offering, if you're willing to stick with my rules and push yourself beyond your limits" he explained to her, as he watched her, waiting for her to back down. Most people weren't comfortable going past their limit...it was how they never got any better as they had the mentality that they couldn't do something, or that everything should be handed to them. Mori especially the Royals were really bad about things like that, but they were their to protect them, it was their job for as long as anyone could remember.
He glanced down at her ankle knowing she'd been injured from what Natasha had mentioned to him a two days ago. "How is you're ankle doing? You won't be able to train till it's healed" he told her as he squatted down her level. "Do you mind if I have a look?" he asked his voice taking on a bit more of a compassionate tone as his accent drifted around his words.

Ara smiled and nodded. "Of course! I mean... I will go past my limits if able... cause I refuse to push my self to the limit for practice if say...." she glanced at her ankle. "I'm hurt or really sick... Real thing? Well... No way in hell I'm going to give up because I'm hurt." She couldn't give up. She had lost so much already because she didn't know what to do. She had to learn so she could protect everyone else she cared about. Most of her family was dead. She wan't going to lose the rest of it. She would push herself past every limit she had. And her determined look proved it.
She looked at her ankle and nodded as she pushed up her pant leg and held it up for him. "Yea sure. And I won't let this stop me. And it didn't stop me for sparing with Guardian Contrarez." She smiled at the thought. two days ago she had spared with Natasha after getting her first stake lesson and won. She used a dirty trick but she won.

Zeo felt his lips pull back into a grin. This girl might be just the little apprentice he was looking for. She had some spunk and brains. She knew where her limits were and wouldn't let them stop her. She also as it would seem knew when to call it quits and not drag herself into exhaustion when she was sick or hurt. He gently lifted her foot into his hand, as he inspected her ankle. Their was just a few deep scratches but those were healing pretty well considering all damphir's bodies healed quicker then humans thanks to their mori blood. Her wounds would be healed in if he had to guess completely with in another two to three days, but she could probably start some light training possibly as soon as tomorrow. "Does it hurt to walk on it?" he questioned curious to see if a wound like this would affect simple movements such as walking.
He gently set her foot back down on the ground and held out his hand to her. "My name is Zeo Griffin Severian it's a pleasure to meet you Araceli" he said to her his smile surprisingly genuine for an on duty Guardian, it was hard to tell he was actually on duty, but when was a Guardian every really off duty? The enemy never cared if you were or weren't on duty, if they killed you because they caught you unprepared that was ultimately your fatal mistake.

She examined her leg when he did. It looked pretty good. She shook her head when he spoke. "No. It doesn't hurt just to walk or run or anything like that." He then set her foot back down and held out his and as he spoke. 'My name is Zeo Griffin Severian it's a pleasure to meet you Araceli.' She nodded and took his hand smiling as she shook it before speaking.
"Araceli Mariela Ricci." He had given his ful name so she would give him hers. But she was going to add her nickname in there. Because saying Araceli all the time was a bit tedious. Ara was much simplier. "Feel free to call me Ara though. So... how soon can I start training?" She asked egarly. She wanted to be able to fight Strigoi well. Even if she didn't need it right away. What happened shook her and she felt the need to be prepared for anything more than ever before now. Nearly getting chomped on is frightening. Even more so if you can't defend yourself well.

Zeo looked at her, as he casually surveyed the grounds around them. He grinned ever so slightly, as his red eyes went back to her hopeful gaze. "I don't see why you can't begin training tomorrow morning, at five that gives you time to train then grab some breakfast before your first class then you'll meet me again at the track again after your last class. If you're late training ends. So I suggest if you are serious about wanting to get better by on time" he told her as he stood up brushing grass and dirt from his jeans as he looked down at her watching her reaction.
He has curious to see if she would be up for it. His training wouldn't be easy and his training required dedication and he wouldn't put up with half-assed techniques if it wasn't done right then you'd do it till you got it right! That was how he had taught Mia and he was no push over when it came to his training sessions if you couldn't keep up or you wanted to complain then you can leave. He wasn't a complete hard ass, he just had a lot to prove.

Ara beamed and nodded. Yes! Tomorrow she could train. This was so cool! "Okay! Bright and early tomarrow morning. But... just out of curiosity. How long after my last class do I have to get to the track? Cause I don't want to think I have ten minutes and only have five or something and have training stop." That would be the worst thing ever. She would die. Well sure she could always ask Natasha but Guardian Severtain was willing to help her if she was willing to push herself and be on time. She could do that as long as she knew what time that was. If she wasn't given a time then how was she supposed to get there on time?
She looked up at him not leting her grey eyes leave his red ones as she waited for his responce. She was excited she couldn't wait for training to start. This was awsome, She was going to learn how to kick major Strigoi ass and do it right. She wasn't going to have to pull another 'Crap I have no clue waht I'm doing!' move again. She was going to fight harder and know what she was doing the next time she met up with Strigoi. But she didn't plan on meeting with any anytime soon.

Zeo smirked glad to see that she had caught on to the lack of information he had left out. He was pleased to see that she wasnt put off with training so early in the morning. He looked at her trying to think of what would be a fair enough time frame to give her. "You'll have ten minutes to get the track after school. If anything changes I will let you know if we are meeting somewhere besides the track" he told her as he looked up towards the clock.
"Don't be late Ara I'll see you in the morning he said as he started to walk away it was now his turn to patrol the grounds and relieve the current guardian; oh what a surprise he was going to be late to his duties. Oh well he had the luxury to be late....no he didn't but it would be alright just this once.

Ara smiled and nodded. "Okay. See you bright and early tomarrow morning. and ten minutes after classes end. Got it." He started walking away and she leaned back against a wall and simply sat there. She just got a teacher! That was awsome. she would be sure to get a good nights sleep.
((-_- not my best post.... oh well))
