Nationality:: Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. American
Family: Leah Laguz(Mother. Blood whore. Unknown). Zane Laguz (Father. Moroi. Deceased) . Letha Laguz(Twin sister. Strigoi)
History: Zaira was born a twin. However once she and her sister didn’t need their mother anymore, the woman had left without a trace, leaving her husband to care for the children, who were three at the time. So the twins were raised by their father for the most part, their father hadn’t spoken of their mother and usually avoided the subject or did some trick to get the girl’s distracted so that they wouldn’t ask any more questions about their mother. As Zaira got older and went to school with her twin, they remained inseparable, and Zaira soon realized why her father didn’t want to talk about their mother, because it hurt him, and they hadn’t realized that until it was far too late. When they were fourteen and had gotten home from school, they had found their father dead on the living room floor(They still have yet to figure out how he died.). Letha was devastated by the sight and had run out the door, and if only Zaira had ran after her, she might have been able to do something about it, or maybe they both would have been turned forcefully? Who knows, because what’s done is done and it’s not like the hands of time can be moved backward.
Still at the age of fourteen Zaira had learned the truth about her sister. When the girl had come back and had tried to kill her, but the morning sunlight had made her Dhampire sister-turned-Strigoi flee before she could do any more damage to Zaira, besides just a simple broken arm and broken leg and worst of all turn her into a Strigoi. After that attack, a guardian had found her and had taken her to the school, after learning that she was a Dhampire. Zaira has been at St. Joseph Academy ever since. She wants to graduate and become a Guardian.

Personality: Zaira is a very blunt and to the point type of girl. She doesn’t beat around the bush about something; she’ll just come outright and say it. This goes double for questions. Her patience with people who beat around the bush can be very thin, and to the point of where if the “beating around the bush” way continues, she’ll snap out. “Spit it out!” or a “Get to the point already!”. Zaira’s horribly impatient usually when it comes to waiting someone to finish their “Beating around the bush” routine at least when someone is talking to her, she’ll get irritated and usually say something snappy, only because she hates to be held up on anything she does, whether it be homework, reading her book or getting lunch. She does however hold her tongue and her impatience and irritation when in front of teachers or when in class(for the most part).
Zaira is a kind girl at heart and this is usually shown when she is around her friends. She’s kind and caring, and surprisingly not as snappy or irritated when around her friends and when her friends tend to “beat around the bush” and take forever to get to their point in a conversation. This doesn’t mean she likes talking about herself or her day, because usually she’ll just brush off the comment and say something sassy like “Same old, same old” or “The usual” or something along those lines. It’s just that she views herself as boring and doesn’t like talking about herself, and would much rather listen to her friends and how their days went(even though some of them tend to take twenty-thirty minutes to tell a five minute story about their day.).
She does have weaknesses, like everyone else. She isn’t heartless. Her main weakness is… She has a big soft spot for animals and cute things(Stuffed animals and animals). She is very protective over her friends and is very relentless when it comes to trying to find ways to save her sister who is a Strigoi. Zaira has things she dislikes and parties and alcohol are two of those things she just doesn’t like. She is one of those people who would much rather spend her time either with a good book and read late into the night or take care of an ‘defenseless’ animal. Her definition of ‘defenseless’ is very vague, as she views all animals, even those kinds of wild untamed animals and highly poisonous, dangerous and/or disgusting as defenseless and cute.
Zaira’s personality can do a 180 flip and change for that nice yet blunt and impatient girl to a cold-hearted apathetic girl who crushes the hearts of those who dare speak those words “I love you, will you go out with me?” or something along those lines. She just hates the thought of a relationship; in fact she hates the mere thought of what a relationship would mean and what would have to be done in said relationship. She just has an innate fear of relationships and refuses to be apart of them or even try to have one, so therefore she crushes the heart of the person who asked with no remorse. This icy apathetic persona is just a defense mechanism that one no one has been able to get past, nor has anyone really even tried to get past this block of hers.

Roleplay Example: This is from another roleplay site:
The night air was cold and crisp; the silver moon was shinning brightly, as were the stars. That was until the gray storm clouds appeared, and soon the pitter patter of rain could be heard, against the pencil and colored pencils scratching against a piece of drawing paper in a sketch book. That was being held up against the artist's knees that were pulled up against her chest, pale hands danced across the paper as the artist sketched away at her drawing. The drawing was almost finished just a few more colors here and there. The girl is around 17, wearing only black silk Pajamas that were long sleeved, and her feet were bare. Her pale skin almost glowing in the moonlight that shinned in though the window, on which she sat. The girl got up from the windowsill and stood up, her feet hitting softly against the wooden floor. "Stupid nightmare... and now I got focused on drawing what was in that nightmare..." She muttered crossly, as her dark eyes glared down at the paper that she had set down on the windowsill and slowly back away from the windowsill.
Ashley had just finished her latest 'creation' it had come from a nightmare that had woken her up two hours ago, and something possessed her to draw it... something she would soon come to regret ever doing. She knew she should have just torn up the finished drawing, or burned it... or something! But she didn't do it, and had instead just closed her eyes and imaged her dream.... and creature within her nightmarish dream, and to the drawing she had just seen.
Soon enough, there was a large black bird standing before her. The black bird had a large black beak with a red patch on the beak, long fluffy black fur instead of feathers, a few blood red markings on the bird. The bird had wings that were folded neatly to its sides, that had half of the wings were blood red. The bird looked almost like an ostrich, a demon ostrich. The bird had long legs, and large black talons, with black and blood stained bandages wrapped around the bird's clearly powerful and strong legs. The bird's tail feathers had had some blood red on them, although most of the tail fathers were black. The creature also had a silver chain hanging around it's neck, with a blood red stone hanging down from the chain. What scared her most were the creature’s dark blood red eyes.
"Akki." The name of the demon bird was whispered.... by the Creator.
But it got the demon bird's attention so much that it looked right at her, studying her. Before the bird cawed loudly, before it suddenly flapped its wings in anger, and suddenly charged at her, slashing its powerful legs at her, which Ashley screamed in fear as the bird's talons came closer and closer to her throat. "DISAPPEAR!!!" Ashley shrieked loudly as she was backed up into a wall, she hadn't noticed it, until she suddenly hit the wall. Just before the bird's talons could come an inch from her throat, the demon bird froze and faded away. Leaving Ashley stunned with fear, to point of where she slid down her wall and curled up into a ball with her knees up to her chest panting, and trying to get breathing and her heart rate to go back down to normal. She could footsteps... which meant any minute now, someone would barge into her room and demand to know what was going on.
