Nationality:: Russian & French
Family: Veronika Ivashkov, Mother, 44
Nikolai Ivashkov, Father, 47
Oliver Ivashkov, Brother, 21
Tristan Ivashkov, Twin Brother, 16
History: Where did Veronika and Nickolai Ivashkoov go wrong? It was the quention many asked, although never vocalized. There marriage had been one of convenience. They knew each other well enough. Veronika was not a Royal, however
although she was of French orgin she had enough Royal blood to be considered of some importance. They married young, settling into politics and position. Within the year their first child, Oliver was born. He was a lot to handle, probably the reason they waited another four years before welcoming another child. With their luck, they did not welcome one, but two. Selena and Tristan Ivashkov made quite the pair from their early childhood.
Veronika was not so much the mothering type, she was a vain woman, who cared and lived in and for her status. As such the twins were raised alongside their brother by many, many nannies. Some said the three shared a brain with the things they were able to accomplish. When they wanted something, they got it. When they were bored, they made trouble. By the time Oliver went off to school, the trio had already ridden themselves of four women they did not like. There mother never picked a nice nanny, always a strict one who would force in lessons. As such Selena learned languages; Russian, French, English. All came easy to her. Oliver was attending elementary school, and for the first time the twins did not have their older brother to lead them.
Sure Selena was the elder one of the two, but by no means was she the boss. One look and the other knew what they were thinking, best friends who could read each other like books. Soon they began their younger level of schooling. Selena did fine, however she was no genius. She coasted around the middle, not wanting to be shuffled about as some pawn by her mother. Selena was her mother's only daughter, and vanity was rather annoying to the girl. Of course she went against her mother's wishes, dressing as she pleased. Maybe the outfits she wore to dinner parties weren't always the most respectable, but that was the point.
Selena began at St. Josephs. Finally a time she could be away from her pestering mother. She was not one to go silently. Over the years she has gotten into quite a bit of trouble. So much so that the school no longer informs her parents. They simply discipline her and move on. Tristan often helps her with her schemes, and she with his. Over the years she has learned the structure of her family. While she is close with
Oliver and closer with Tristan, she doesn't share the same love for her parents. Maybe that was why she convinced one of her novice friends to teach her to fight. Of course she won't ever be able to take down one of the undead, but being able to drop a jerk onto the grass is good enough reason to know how to throw a punch in her mind. A junior this year she can't wait until she can be out of her parents' grasp.
Grade: Junior
Martial Status: Single

Personality: Selena isn't afraid of much, she does well in front of people, even if she has trouble relating to some, and isn't afraid to speak her mind or be herself. That self may be a little crazy, but what person isn't, even if just a little? She likes to be called by her middle name, Zeny, but Selena is alright with her. She is confident and outgoing. Zeny loves to have fun, and her idea of fun almost always involves breaking some rule. Her middle name may as well have been trouble, (it actually means noble) because she thrives off of it. Selena doesn't like authority very much, or having people tell her what to do. She will however accept advice, and likes when adults treat her with respect, instead of being treated like an ignorant dress up doll like her mother does.
She is a loyal person, and most of the time she has good intentions. Deep down she likes recklessness and impulsive behavior because it is unexpected. Selena doesn't
like predictable. Commitment bothers her, mostly because she doesn't want to be rejected by someone she really cares about. She knows her brothers won't ever do that to her, however she cant be to sure about others. She can have a hot temper, but is friendly towards most people unless they do something to set her off. Zeny also is a bit violent, and is a firm believer that actions speak louder then words. She loves using her element to her advantage.
Likes: Fighting and Causing Trouble, Joking Around, talking, strawberries, butterscotch pudding, shoes, colour, the outdoors, running.
Dislikes: Vanity, authority figures, sitting still, the funny aftertaste you get when you drink orange juice after you brush your teeth, waiting, hats, cold showers, romantic comedies, being lazy, to much work, being expected to do something, predictability .
Fears: Heights, Rejection, Commitment. Commitment leads to rejection, and heights are just plain nerve wracking!
Hopes: To prove that she is not her mother and to be free due to acceptance of her parents.
Power: Fire
Roleplay Example: Hailey knew it wasn't always her, but it seemed like it. Especially now with her face red, coloured robes, books strewn, and just the whole situation. An apology came from the mouth of Ethan Mather, along with the rest of her books. Why did people have to apologize? It was an accident, and in her mind it was over. So why did people always have to drag it out? "It's fine." She said quietly, as he changed her robes back to their normal colour. Everything was always fine for her. Hailey couldn't remember the last time she had been really angry, mostly because it seemed pointless. Being angry with Mather wouldn't help what had already happened. Hailey was wise like that.
Thank goodness the Professor hustled in before the boy let anything else come out of his mouth. She walked over and took her seat at her normal table. Most people had let the incident slide, probably because they were getting their papers back. It was easy to see from the faces of the other students who had done exceptionally and who had missed the mark. Hailey glanced over her own. Perfect, as usual. History of magic was all memorization and application, one of her easier subjects. At first she didn't notice the words scrawled at the top of her page, however it didn't change that they were there. I have a project for you.
Project. That would be what he had talked to her about yesterday after class. Apparently she wasn't being challenged enough, or so the teacher had said. He felt working with another student would be helpful, that it would help her to expand her views on the topics discussed in class. In other words he needed someone to help tutor a student so no one would flunk his class this year. It didn't mater how he phrased it, Hailey had said yes as she always did. The girl never could say no if someone asked for her help. And so it seemed the Professor had been true to his words, and Hailey made a mental note to rework her nightly order. She probably would have to help with the animals a bit earlier now.
Class went on, nothing more unusual occurred, at least by her standards. Finally the lesson was concluded and she gathered up her books. Not much to do now then but wait a moment and head off to meet her new student, if she could call him or her that. Shuffling along, Hailey took her time. "One, two, three.." She counted aloud as she left the class and headed towards the History Professor's office. Thinking back, Hailey shouldn't have been surprised when she peered in through the door. Turns out karma hadn't been punishing her, it had been warning her of what was to come. The Mather boy stood at the desk, and Hailey could hear the end of his descriptive sentence. Sure she was smart, however plenty were better. Chances were she was picked because they were in the same house.
Ethan questioned the man, obviously a bit impatient. Hailey pushed the door open just enough so she could slide in. Standing at the back of the room she caught her teacher's smile as he looked between her and Mather. "That'd be me." She spoke, louder then her previous words to him had been. The girl took a few steps forward, "I'm Hailey, although you probably know my name." She thought for a second, "Well not that you should know it, only I know ours so I figure the knowledge is mutual." Her thought were always good on paper, and even better in her head. Only, if they were't related to something she knew for certain, chances were they were not going to come out as she planned.
