Natasha set her water bottle down on the floor, before tying her hair back into a loose ponytail. She took a moment to do a couple stretches, and then turned to her sparring partner. He was a dummy. Literally.
"You ready for an ass whoopin'?" she questioned it, mainly out of boredom. As expected, it didn't respond. If it had responded, then Natasha would've been thoroughly freaked out.
She practiced a few punches and kicks that were so low level, that she actually hadn't used them in awhile. She then began to perform more intricate moves. The moves came easily, so she let her mind wander as she did them.
Things were heating up around the school, that much she could tell. She could practically feel how close they were to unraveling the mystery of Guardian Davinich's death. But she couldn't help but wonder, would they like what they find? How come it seemed like every time they opened a new door, it just led to another?
God, why was her life so complicated?

Becca smiled at the moon as she made her way slowly from the front gates to the gym. She had been on the early morning border watch before school, but she still had a while before she had to be ready for official work. She stopped by her room in the Guardian Dorm building on her way and changed into better clothes for working out. She closed the door within seconds and took a sip of her water bottle. Within minutes she was at the door of the gym.
She had just tounched her hand to the door knob when she heard her boss, Guardian Contrarez's voice, "You ready for an ass whoopin?" Becca couldn't help but smirk, then quickly putting on her guardian mask before entering the gym silently as to not disturb the more senior guardian.
Setting her bottle on the side, Becca watched eagerly as she saw a few more complex moves that were perfectly polished. Her head seemed to be able to pass only one thought as she watched, I want to fight against HER. If nothing else, Becca could not back down from the idea of a challenge.
She cleared her throat, just in case Guardian Contrarez hadn't noticed her entrance. She couldn't help the slightly sarcastic but still serious remark that came out of her mouth, "So are you interested in hitting something that hits back?" She silently prayed, behind her confident smile, that the answer to the question would be yes. She knew that Guardian Contrarez was busy, but it could turn out to be a learning experience for both. Becca knew that is blank skills, she could put up a fight, but probably still be outdone; however, her acrobatics could give her the edge to win. Only time would tell.

Natasha stopped when she heard someone clear their throat. She turned to look at the guardian who appeared to be no older than herself. Natasha recognized her.
"Hey Becca" she greeted, not showing much exertion from her workout other than a few sweat drops on her forehead, which she wiped off with the back of her hand. Unlike others, Natasha was the type who called her colleagues by their first name when they weren't in front of students and other people. She felt it put them more at an equal footing.
She smiled at Becca's proposition as she reached down and grabbed her water bottle.
"Sure, why not?" she said, shrugging nonchalantly before twisting the cap off the water bottle and taking a nice gulp. She then put the cap back on and set the bottle back on the ground. She walked silently to the center of the training mat that was already laid out and got into a ready position. She smiled at the fellow guardian.
"Ready when you are" she said, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Ready when you are." That was all Becca needed to hear before letting the corners of her mouth form an even bigger smile. She took a few strides to the center of the mat and fell into a fighting stance. Out of sheer habit, she placed her Guardian mask on, immediately whipping her smile from her face.
"Consider this ready," Becca said, as she took a few strides forward without hesitation, immediately letting the adrenaline fill her system. She was about in the range a kick would have struck when sh jumped into a one-handed round off. She didn't touch the other Guardian, not yet anyway, but went off to her left.
She landed directly behind Natasha and facing her back. Conjuring all of her strength in her right arm, Becca sent a hard blow to the upper middle section the other's back, then placing her other arm across her stomach to protect from the sure backlash.
She didn't even have time to think, this was definately action, reaction, and pure unbridled instinct.

Natasha didn't reply as she shifted all of her focus on the fight. Emotions left her as her mind raced, coming up with a counter each time the other guardian moved.
Natasha turned her body around, barely avoiding the punch. As she turned her body around, she sent her fist straight towards the girl's face. At the same time, she swept her leg across the ground, hoping to knock Becca off her feet.
Natasha was fast and calculating, it helped show how she had managed to gain the reputation she had around Court and practically everywhere. Everywhere except here.

Becca tried to hide the smile as Natasha avoided her strike, only to stage two attacks at once. She saw a punch go toward her face, at the same time that a kick was swipping over her ankles. She knew just how to avoid a hit like this, but there would still be some damage.
At the point a split second before the blows came, Becca knew she had no other choices. She quickly used teh back of her right wrist to block the hit to her face, but it stung. Within miliseconds after she felt the sting of her wrist, she jumped over the swipping foot. Then using the momentary off-balance caused by Natasha's kick to swipe with her foot aimed at the other Guardians stomach.
Becca, after pulling her foot back in gently eased back out of range, never letting her eyes leave Natasha's hips and shoulders. Her own mentor had once told her, even with a feint of a move, the hips and shoulders show the focal point. Shoulders show blocking, hips show attacking.

Natasha couldn't help but grin slightly when Becca managed to avoid both of her attacks. The girl had skill, she would give her that much. The fact was only proven when the other guardian managed to land a kick into Natasha's stomach. She grunted slightly and sent a smile to the girl.
"I have to hand it to you, you're good" she commented. There was a glint in her eyes, though, that clearly said the saying that usually follows a statement like that: "But I'm better."
Natasha feinted to the right, but then went for the left, having noticed that the girl used her right wrist to block her last punch, so she made an educated guess that she was right-handed. She ducked low, aiming a punch into the girl's gut.
I'm not sure if this is a good post or not >.>

Becca smiled at the fact that she was complimented by the more senior Guardian, but it faded quickly. Her wrist hurt, that hit had packed alot of force, meant to be fast and distracting. It worked. The attack right after the compliment caught her mind wandering, and a full blow landed in her gut. "Shit!" She mumbled against her will. She was never one to grunt or recoil, but cursing, that was something she was good at.
She took a step back and fell back into postition, descretly moving her wrist back and forth, testing it. It would survive, and completely usable. That was good, because she knew that she would lose instantly if she didn't have that hand.
Making a break to the, Becca darted to the left and sent her right arm across her body and into Natasha's shoulder. She knew the shoulder attack wasn't a knock out attack, but she also knew that if she could disarm her opponent's right arm, she mostlikely would know out the dominant arm. If it wasn't her dominant arm, then it was her protective arm, which could be just as helpful.
"Well I was trained by some of the best," Becca retorted after the hit, and she meant it. She had been trained at this very school, and then by her co-guard. She had trained hard, done well, and never stopped learning.

Natasha let the blow hit, barely keeping herself from wincing. She grabbed onto the guardian's arm and went to twist it behind her back. Then, hopefully, she would be able to perform a basic cop move and shove the girl down onto the ground.
"And I've worked with the best" Natasha retorted. It was true. Hardly anyone here knew about Natasha's previous job or her history. Pretty much only the headmaster and a few senior guardians had bothered to get the full story. They were the ones that respected and listened to her.

Becca grimaced at the pain and shrugs her shoulder, giving her elbobw a bit more flexibility and letting her switch her elbow around and twist out of the lock, dislocating it in the process. "Well damn," Becca muttered sarcastically as she bit her liop to keep the worse obsenities off her lips. "That seemed to have backfired on me."
Gripping her shoulder, Becca ripped it back into the socket, watching the black of pain cloud her vision. Grunting that the self-inflicted pain, she took a step back and winced when she tried to move her arm. "That was. . . less than plesant." She said, trying to get back to her sarcastic self.
Grinning back at Natasha, Becca fell into a fighting stance for one last attack. Her arm hurt like hell but she didn't let it slow her down as she picked up the pace and ran at the other Guardian, aiming a round house kick at her, joseling her arm and causing her to wince in pain, hoping it hit.
