"I'm sorry, my friend who can teach you how to use defensive magic isn't a spirit user." Amelia's thoughts of how much she could learn shattered instanter. "My friend who is a spirit user is a little too busy doing her job at court at this moment" Oh that's not good but it is because her friend is only at court. Thoughts of how Amelia could get her to ask her friend to come to the academy were cut of by the guardian talking. "I'll be honest with you, though,I'm not sure how offensive you can get with spirit." She had a valid point, every element had it's limitations.
Amelia leaned closer to the girl who sat beside her. She was about to share something she hadn't told anyone. "I've heard things about using compulsion inside someone else's head to control their body." Amelia spent a lot of hours wrapped up in searching for answers and any information she could find about spirit. Though it certainly wasn't easy to find what she was looking for and most of the time it led to dead ends. She did sometimes find little hints here and there, and myths written cryptically that could be about spirit. "Not that I really want to do that, but I mean if it's possible to do things like that then I want to know." Amelia stared blankly in font of her, looking straight through the guardian. "I don't have the same advantages as the others who use fire, water, earth or even air." Though she could manipulate air better than the other elements.

Natasha couldn't stop her eyes from widening ever-so-slightly. But they soon narrowed. She did relax, however, when Amelia said that she didn't want to do that. She took a deep breath in.
"Yes," she finally said, "that is possible. But you do not want to try it. It messes with your mind too much, trust me."
Natasha shivered slightly at the memory. She quickly switched her thoughts from the memory. She took another deep breath.
"If you have any questions about spirit, you can come to me. I just might have the answers" she told Amelia comfortingly. She really did want to help the girl. She wasn't sure whether Amelia had any people who could help her deal with the effects of spirit.

"Yes, that is possible. But you do not want to try it. It messes with your mind too much, trust me." Amelia could see the change in the other girl while she spoke. She looked very uneasy. Amelia assumed she had a bad experience with this type of compulsion. She wonder if a spirit user had used this type of offensive magic on her and was about to ask her what she meant when she thought the better of it. If the guardian had wanted her to know the details of it she would of told her. Amelia quickly decided to drop the subject.
"If you have any questions about spirit, you can come to me. I just might have the answers." Amelia had a million questions but she felt like her previous question had made the new faculty member a little queasy so instead of firing off the riddles she constantly tried to solve, she just thanked the guardian for her polite offer of help. "Thanks I'll keep that in mind." Amelia wondered if she should leave and head back to her dorm. It was still sixth period and if she left now she would be able to get there without bumping into too many people, which would be better than walking around when everyone else was. But she wanted to stay and talk to the guardian. She didn't have a lot of people who she could trust with her secret and she kind of liked being around this girl.

Natasha nodded and smiled. She told herself to freakin' relax. She didn't want to scare the girl. She looked around slightly, almost absentmindedly. She wondered how advanced the girl already was. Probably not very much. Amelia didn't seem to know much about spirit and judging from the look on her face, she had lots of questions.
"So, how much have you used your powers before?" she decided to just question her.

"So, how much have you used your powers before?" The question was unexpected. Amelia tired to keep her features relaxed. It was hard. She really didn't want the girl to know about her practice healing sessions or any of the other things she had done when experimenting with her powers. She mentally kicked herself. She should of left before when she had been thinking about it. She really should of prepared for this question though. It was something she would of asked if she was the guardian.
Amelia really didn't want to lie. She had been open with this girl so easily and didn't want to change that now, but she couldn't really see how telling her what she had been up to in her spare time would be a good thing. The look on the guardians face when she had mentioned controlling peoples minds through compulsion popped into her head. No. She would not tell her about her secret training sessions. "Just little things." She said as if that answered the question completely. "I like making flowers grow." That wasn't a lie. This telling the truth thing was kinda ok.

Natasha nodded thoughtfully.
"That's good. It's simple, and a very good start," Natasha paused slightly before continuing. She didn't let any of her hesitance slip into her voice. "You haven't tried to heal anything else, right? Like, animals... or people?"
She really hoped Amelia hadn't. That kind of thing needed to be supervised and not done very often. Especially since Amelia didn't have someone to take the darkness from her. At least, as far as Natasha knew.

"That's good. It's simple, and a very good start, you haven't tried to heal anything else, right? Like, animals... or people?" She really didn't miss anything. She was definitely a well trained guardian. That didn't help Amelia at all. Not recently. Amelia didn't see the point in trying to lie but she didn't want to tell her the whole truth either. She tried to hard to keep her words straight. "I have had to use spirit like that before. Flowers are so much easier though. Plus they're nice to look at. It's cool to know that I can do something like that." Amelia smiled hoping that the topic would drop.
"Have you ever seen your friend create things?" Amelia wondered how advanced the guardians spirit using friend was. She wanted to know how much they knew about it. She could learn so much. "And what about your other friend?" Amelia continued to ramble, letting some of the questions inside her head out. "The one who teaches offensive magic? What element do they use? Do you think your friend would still be able to teach me something? Would they know anything about spirit?" Amelia looked hopeful. "Maybe they'll be able to help me."

"I have had to use spirit like that before. Flowers are so much easier though. Plus they're nice to look at. It's cool to know that I can do something like that."
Natasha frowned slightly. She was about to question Amelia about what exactly she had used her powers on. Was it a person or an animal? And what sort of wound was it? Unfortunately, the girl asked another question before Natasha could ask.
"Have you ever seen your friend create things?"
Natasha shrugged.
"Yeah, I've seen her heal plants, heal wounds, and..." she didn't finish her sentence. She figured now wasn't the best time to tell Amelia that she had the ability to bring people back to life and cure Strigoi.
"And what about your other friend? The one who teaches offensive magic? What element do they use? Do you think your friend would still be able to teach me something? Would they know anything about spirit? Maybe they'll be able to help me."
Natasha couldn't help but smile at Amelia's eagerness. "He uses fire. Yes, he should be able to teach you something. And yes, he knows things about spirit because he also knows that friend of mine."
Natasha looked at the girl, glad to see that she was so eager to learn. Natasha just hoped that Amelia would be able to handle the consequences of using spirit. She smiled softly at the girl.
"I'm sure that if my friend with spirit wasn't so busy with her job at court, that she would rush down here the instant I told her about you."

Amelia was glad to hear that the guardians friend would be able to teach her. She was also glad to hear that he too was friends with the other spirit user. It meant that he had more insight into the element. And who knew, maybe he had even taught a thing or two to the other girl.
"Cool." Amelia smiled at the guardian. She was grateful that the other girl genuinely seemed like she wanted to help her, but it still sucked that her friend who taught offensive magic was a fire and not a spirit user like Amelia. "It's too bad your other friend can't teach me though." She sighed. "I'm sure that if my friend with spirit wasn't so busy with her job at court, that she would rush down here the instant I told her about you."
Amelia pushed thoughts of things that couldn't happen aside. "So what's your friend like?" A million questions swirled though her mind. "How long has he been.." She looked around still a little uncomfortable with talking about things like this in public. She felt safe though. If someone was eavesdropping the guardian would know for sure. "Teaching? Is he here? When can I meet him?"

"So what's your friend like?"
Natasha couldn't help but smile as she thought about Jonathan.
"He's wonderful. He's kind, smart, funny. His jokes can get a bit cheesy sometimes, but that's alright. He knows how to be serious when the time is needed and he's very caring."
She tried to wipe the dorky smile off her face. Jonathan had a way of making her feel like she was a crushing school girl again, although she knew that it was so much more than a simple crush.
"He's been teaching for about a year now. His cousin usually helps him, but he's fine on his own. Their, uh, aunt taught them when they were in high school," Natasha frowned slightly before getting back on track, "Yeah, he's here. You can meet him whenever you want, I guess. He just has to answer his phone."
She remembered back to when Jonathan had accidently let his phone die and had only found out three days later. Her lip twitched in amusement at the memory.

Amelia couldn't help but smile at the way the guardian spoke of her "friend", it was pretty obvious from the expression on the other girls face that she thought of this guy as much more than just a friend. It was cute."He's been teaching for about a year now. His cousin usually helps him, but he's fine on his own. Their, uh, aunt taught them when they were in high school."
Amelia was happy to hear that the guy had a bit of experience, and she was even happier to hear that she could meet him when she was ready. "Awesome. I can't wait to meet him."Amelia smiled. She just couldn't resist. "So..." She said pushing aside all of her problematic thoughts and just being a teenage girl who likes nothing more than a little bit of normal girl gossip. "How long have you two been together?"

Natasha blushed lightly when Amelia asked her question. Jeez, she could stand in a room for hours and keep her face emotionless, but all a teenage girl had to do was ask about Jonathan and suddenly her face was as red as a tomato. Ok, her blush wasn't that deep, but it might as well have been.
"Uh, we've been officially dating for a little more than a year now. But we've known each other our whole lives" she said. She hadn't developed any feelings for Jonathan until around the eigth grade, but she had denied them for years. She had wanted to focus all of her attention on training and keeping Rose out of trouble, a difficult task that she had never quite succeeded in. She hadn't wanted a distraction. But she had finally admitted to herself that she liked him when he kissed her during their senior year in high school. The two had been arguing and he had just kissed her unexpectedly. Natasha remembered it like it was yesterday. When it was shortly before field experience.
"We're engaged" she added, not knowing exactly why she had added that. Maybe it was because she felt like telling someone happy news for once. And it was indeed good news, the smile on Natasha's face could prove it.

"Uh, we've been officially dating for a little more than a year now. But we've known each other our whole lives." "Aw." Amelia thought that was the cutest thing. The way the guardian spoke about her boyfriend was just adorable. You could see just how love struck she was. "We're engaged." Amelia certainly wasn't expecting that news, but she was happy to hear it. "Oh congratulations!" Two people know each other their whole lives, date for a year then get engaged. It was nice to know that real love still existed. Amelia hoped things worked out for the two of them.
Amelia hadn't yet met the guardians fiance but she was sure that he was amazing. He'd have to be to get a girl like this to marry him."When did he propose? How did he do it? Have you set a date yet? Oh what about wedding gowns! And bridesmaid dresses! Have you started looking yet?" The thought of fashion in any form was more than enough to get Amelia excited, so you can imagine how happy talking about wedding gowns made her. As of yet she hadn't made one, but it was on her list.

Natasha couldn't help but laugh lightly at the girl's enthusiasm.
"He proposed at the Queen's coronation. He literally said that he had an announcement and then got down on one knee" her voice was slightly incredulous, still finding it hard to believe that had actually done that. She couldn't help but blush as she remembered how every single pair of eyes had turned to her. Despite the fact that when it had actually happened, everybody else had ceased to exist except for her and Jonathan.
"No," she frowned slightly, "we had a date but then I was unexpectedly assigned here, so it's being postponed as of this moment." She shrugged, as if it was no big deal.
"I've looked, but I haven't been able to find the right dresses yet. Plus, I want to wait until my bridesmaids are actually with me before I pick out their dresses" an idea suddenly popped into Natasha's head, and she couldn't help but grin at Amelia, "maybe you could design the dresses."
